A journey of commitment and innovation since 2022

November 2022

Creation of RAJAPI-COP

Official registration of the association in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Receipt No. 00001891/RDA/J06/SAAJP/BAPP. Start of youth mobilization for COP27.

2023

Pan-African Expansion

Network expansion to more than 15 African countries. Launch of initial programs: Eco-Habitats Cameroon and CongoBotanika. Active participation in COP28.

2024

Consolidation and Innovation

Presence in 30+ African countries. Launch of BlueGuard Africa and the Biodiversity Challenge. Strategic partnerships with UNEP, UN-Habitat and UNFCCC.

2025

2nd World Summit for Social Development – Doha, Qatar

The project aims to organize an international summit under the auspices of the United Nations, bringing together Southern and Northern countries to strengthen cooperation for sustainable social development. The main objective is to create an equitable and inclusive dialogue platform, enabling: to identify common and specific challenges faced by Southern and Northern countries, to highlight successful experiences, good practices and innovative local solutions, to foster concrete partnerships for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Mobilize, train and support African youth in developing innovative solutions for climate resilience, biodiversity conservation and environmental justice.

Our Vision

African youth must hold the key to a sustainable, just and resilient future. By valuing their commitment, creativity, leadership and serving as a bridge between global ambitions and local African action. RAJAPI-COP is a pan-African platform catalyzing synergies between Climate and SDGs through youth innovation. Our network relies on an innovative collaborative digital platform, designed as a strategic lever to:

  • Identify, structure and support youth-led projects in the fields of climate, biodiversity, desertification control, integrating a cross-cutting gender and social justice approach.
  • Align local initiatives with Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and priority SDGs in each African country.
  • Bring together stakeholders (governments, private sector, civil society, international institutions) around high-impact transformative youth projects.
  • Produce empirical data to inform public policies, strengthen youth participation in decision-making processes, and contribute to greater accountability.

Edgard Rodrigue MVONDO

Founder & Executive Director of RAJAPI-COP Africa

Climate Governance & International Environmental Law Specialist, Edgard Rodrigue MVONDO is a recognized pan-African youth leader for his exceptional commitment to mobilizing African youth for social development and climate justice.

Engineer, researcher in sciences, environmental governance and international policies, he has participated in numerous COPs (Conferences of the Parties) of the UNFCCC, representing the voice of African youth in global climate negotiations.

His vision: transform every African young person into an agent of change, capable of carrying innovative solutions from their communities to international bodies.
