African youth from RAJAPI-COP Africa, in collaboration with youth from the Amazon and Southeast Asia, advocate for equitable funding for the Congo Basin at COP30 in Belém, Brazil

RAJAPI-COP Africa actively participated in the 7th session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7) held in Nairobi, Kenya. This participation enabled our organization to represent African youth, engage with policymakers, experts and international organizations, and advocate for inclusive and sustainable environmental policies. We highlighted concrete solutions for the protection of African coastal and marine ecosystems while strengthening international partnerships for more equitable climate and environmental action.

RAJAPI-COP Africa participation at CRIC23 – Follow-up of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification

RAJAPI-COP Africa actively took part in the 23rd Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC23). This participation provided our organization the opportunity to represent African youth, share experiences and good practices on sustainable land management, and advocate for the integration of youth and local communities in strategies to combat desertification. Our engagement strengthened international partnerships and contributed to promoting sustainable solutions for ecosystem and vulnerable population resilience in Africa.

RAJAPI-COP Africa participation at the 2nd World Summit for Social Development – Doha, Qatar

RAJAPI-COP Africa represented African youth at the 2nd World Summit for Social Development in Doha, Qatar. This participation highlighted issues and innovative local solutions for social development while fostering dialogue between Southern and Northern countries. Our organization advocated for equitable international cooperation, youth capacity building and the integration of local initiatives into global sustainable development strategies. This summit served as a strategic platform to strengthen international partnerships and share concrete experiences in social justice and inclusion.

RAJAPI-COP Africa participation at the First Intergovernmental Plenary Session on Chemicals, Waste and Pollution – Geneva, Switzerland

RAJAPI-COP Africa will actively participate in the First Intergovernmental Plenary Session on Chemicals, Waste and Pollution, to be held in Geneva from February 1 to 6. This session offers a unique platform to engage with policymakers, experts and representatives of international organizations on the safe and sustainable management of chemicals and waste, and on reducing global pollution. Our organization will represent African youth, highlighting innovative and local solutions for environmental protection and the promotion of sustainable practices, while strengthening international cooperation on these critical issues.

RAJAPI-COP Africa participation at the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13)

RAJAPI-COP Africa participated in the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13), organized by UN-Habitat, to represent African youth and share innovative solutions for sustainable and inclusive urban development. This international meeting enabled exchanges with governments, international organizations, urban planners and civil society actors, and advocacy for the integration of youth in urban planning, climate resilience and sustainable development of African cities. RAJAPI-COP Africa thus contributed to strengthening international partnerships and promoting equitable and sustainable urban policies for local communities.

RAJAPI-COP Africa participation at the 17th Conference of the Parties on Desertification (COP17)

RAJAPI-COP Africa participated in the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) to represent African youth and share innovative solutions for sustainable land management and resilience of vulnerable communities. Our organization advocated for the integration of youth in desertification control strategies, local capacity building and the promotion of equitable international cooperation. This participation enabled exchanges with experts, policymakers and international partners and actively contributed to the implementation of land degradation neutrality goals.
